One Step Tricyclic Antidepressants (TCA) Urine Test

Tricyclic antidepressants (TCA) are a type of prescription drug intended for clinically depressed patients.

Unfortunately, they are becoming more frequently abused and are now one of the leading causes of death by drug overdose.

TCAs are named after the drug's molecular structure, which contains three similar rings. The mechanism of how TCA works is not well understood.

However, it is speculated that the drug inhibits the reuptake of neurotransmitters, norepinephrine and serotonin, ets. in nerve cells.
In clinics, TCA is used to treat patients with depression, analgesia and nocturnal enuresis.

Abuse of TCAs may lead to coma, respiratory depression, convulsions, blood pressure deviations, hyperpyrexia, and severe cardiac conditions.
TCAs are excreted in urine mostly in the form of metabolites for up to ten days.

One Step Tricyclic Antidepressants Urine Test is a rapid urine screening test that can be performed without the use of an instrument.
The test utilizes a monoclonal antibody to selectively detect elevated levels of Tricyclic Antidepressant in urine.
Test yields a positive result when Tricyclic Antidepressant levels in urine reaches 1000ng/ml.
